Istanbul is at the forefront of emerging European cities

The city of Istanbul in Turkey has outperformed its European counterparts and topped the list of southern European cities in the category “Cities and Regions of the European Continent”.

Istanbul, the largest city of Istanbul, said in a statement that Istanbul topped the list of cities in the southern European continent, in the report “Cities and Towns of Europe Future” published by the British newspaper The Financial Times.

The municipality said in a statement that the report evaluated 301 European regions and cities, in terms of availability of employment and funding strength.

Points were awarded based on economic capacity, human resources, prices, quality of life and ability to attract foreign investment. Istanbul ranked ninth in the category of “cities and areas friendly to investors.” In this category, Istanbul has outperformed big European cities such as Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Milan, Lisbon and Rome.
