Sales of real estate in Turkey rose to 78.4 percent in 2018

Sales of real estate in Turkey rose to 78.4 percent in 2018, compared to 2017 sales.

This came in a new statistic issued by the Turkish Statistical Organization, on Wednesday.

According to statistics, the number of apartments sold to foreigners last year, 39 thousand and 663 apartments.

Istanbul is at the head of the Turkish states with the most selling homes to foreigners, with 14 thousand and 270 apartments, followed by Antalya in second place with 7 thousand and 938 apartments, and Bursa with two thousand and 720, and the capital Ankara came fourth with two thousand and 133 houses.

The list of foreigners who bought houses from Turkey during the past year was 8,000. The Iranians were 3,565, the Saudis were third with two thousand and 718, the Russians were fourth with two thousand and 297, and the Kuwaitis were fifth with thousand and 199 houses.

The total number of properties sold in Turkey during the year 2018 was 375,398 apartments, an increase of 2.4 percent compared with the sales in 2017.

Istanbul topped the list of the most sold Turkish real estate states with 235,000 and 55 apartments, and accounted for 17 percent of the total real estate sales in 2018.

Ankara ranked second with 131,161 apartments, 9.5 percent of total sales across Turkey.

The state of Izmir ranked third with 75 thousand and 672 apartments, 5.5 percent of total sales across Turkey.
