Turkey’s Mersin province is set to host the sixth edition of the International Citrus Festival, which will be held from 16-17 November.
In preparation for the festival, participants in the festival began forming 30 different embodies covered with citrus, such as orange, lemon, mandarin and grapefruit.
The festival is attended by folk groups from 30 foreign countries such as Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine.
Turkey’s exports of citrus in the 2016-2017 season amounted to 1,577,979 tons, while in the previous season it amounted to 1,378,636 tons
