Turkish President: 2019 will be special for us economically

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said the year 2019 would be distinctive for his country from an economic point of view, indicating that his country’s economy would achieve a strong rise in the next stage.

This came in a speech delivered by President Erdogan on Sunday at a meeting of the Turkish Council on Foreign Economic Relations (DEİK) in Istanbul, Anatolia reported.

“With the improvement in the financial markets and expectations, our economy will achieve a strong rise during the next phase,” Erdogan said, stressing that “2019 will be a special year.”

“There is no power that can stop our rise, as long as we keep the pessimism and despair away from our country,” he said, pointing out that his country’s exports reached 170 billion dollars, up from 36 billion dollars in 2002 when the Justice and Development reached power.

Erdogan called on the Council on Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey, to transfer the power of the Turkish economy to all parts of the world, starting from the nearby areas.
